DIY Band Merch

I always try to support my favourite bands by buying their records and their merch. But most of the times band merch are 1) overpriced and/or 2) dull. So what I usually do is I make my OWN band merch. (I have no intention of getting sued by the respective bands, therefore I must stress EVERYTHING THAT I'VE EVER MADE, WHETHER IT'S FOR MYSELF OR FOR OTHERS, IS STRICTLY FOR PERSONAL USE.)

Last year when I was in the UK, I bought a pair of white canvas high-tops from H&M for £8, and a pack of multicoloured Sharpies for £12. At that time I was pretty much in love with the artworks done by a Finnish/British artist Sanna Annukka for Keane's second album Under The Iron Sea. So what I did was I drew some of the artworks on those high-tops, et voila! KEANE SHOES!

Earlier this year I purchased a pair of white double-tongue Converses for $25, and a box of Pentel Fabric Fun pastel dye sticks for a mere $2! I recreated the cover artwork for Muse's The Resistance on the left shoe and the cover artwork for Keane's Under The Iron Sea (again) on the right shoe.
